WATCH D.O.G.S. Program
Our PTA is excited to bring to Fisher the WATCH D.O.G.S. Program. This is a nationally recognized program that started in 1998 by a dad who felt he wanted to volunteer and saw a need in schools. Now there are over 1,400 active program in 48 states.
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative program focusing on education and safety in schools by using positive influence of fathers and father-figures for a two-fold purpose:
(1) to provide an unobtrusive fathering presence, and
(2) to provide a positive and active role-model for students at the school.
This program encourages fathers and father figures to volunteer at least one day in the school year in a variety of school activities. WATCH D.O.G.S. has shown that positive male role models in schools can be a powerful way to inspire children and reduce bullying. We are excited to bring this program to Fisher. You can find more details on the Fisher PTA Facebook page.
If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please email us at fisher.pta.lynden@gmail.com   for more information.
