Ms. Wright

My name is Rebecca Wright. I grew up in Burlington, WA, and graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in 2006. I played in the school bands and community youth orchestras from 6th grade on, and in high school, I practically lived in the music room.
In 2013, I graduated from Trinity Western University (Langley, BC) with a B.A. in Music, having studied both voice and as many instruments I could get my hands on. During my time in TWU’s concert band and orchestra, I performed on almost every woodwind and brass instrument in the ensembles, and I loved every minute of it.
I was a substitute in Burlington for several years while I studied for my teaching certification through Western Governors University, where I graduated in the spring of 2018 with a B.A. in K-8 Education.
In 2010, while at TWU, I started singing with Westcoast Harmony Chorus, a competitive women’s a cappella group based in Surrey, as well as a women’s quartet in 2012 (VITA) and a mixed quartet in 2017 (Full Measure).
Music fills my life, not just in time, but with joy, creativity, passion, and drive. I hope to be able to share some of these qualities with you this year!
